We ended up getting in costume and going to the White House hotel in Escazu for their Halloween party, in the pouring rain, and none of our friends showed up, so it was just me and Debbie. The quality of the costumes blew me away, especially one guy who worked all day to look just like the Penguin. Debbie found a pair of angel wings in San Jose, while I scoured the closet to produce a poor Gringo Tourist impression:

A few weeks ago we took a trip to Panama City for a few days, and I got to see the canal locks for the first time, even though it was my third time in Panama, and second time in Panama City. It really is a beautiful place, and it’s definitely growing at a fast pace.
Here are the pics I took of the action over at the Miraflores Locks close to downtown Panama — we were there just in time for some transits:

So yeah, it’s been a while since there’s been any posts… but it’s worth the wait, because I brought pictures! First off are a few I took from a boat cruise around Hollywood, Florida back in August.
