HD DVD Goes the Way of Betamax
Looks like the score is now: Blu-Ray 6, HD DVD 1.
Like most people I haven’t even dared to venture in the whole high-def movie format arena until this war was settled, and it looks like it’s been settled early. Now that Paramount is on the Blu-Ray bandwagon, that leaves Universal as the lone big studio still with a HD DVD contract.
Funny how the Sony format happened to win this time, what with the ages-old Betamax debacle. Maybe they learned a few tricks for this time?
